Community Options, Inc. of Tennessee was established in 1999 to provide residential support and employment services to individuals with disabilities in the above cities and their surrounding area.
Programs are funded through the State of Tennessee Department of Finance and through the Administrative Division of Mental Retardation Services. Staff meet with the individual and their family to ensure that an individual's plans are person-centered, incorporating the person's preferences accordingly.
Housing programs are designed to assist people with disabilities moving from developmental centers, or who are on waiting lists for community services, to find housing in the community. Community Options also provides supports for people living at home with their families.
Programs are designed to provide the supports that individuals with disabilities require to live in the community and maintain a level of independence with self-care and activities of everyday life. Supported Living (up to 3 people sharing a 24-hour staffed home) Personal Assistance, Community Participation and Supported Employment (programs that maintain and increase daily living skills, vocational and community skills through volunteerism, paid employment, and social activities in the community) are options available.
Please call the Nashville office at (615) 885-1099 to receive more information on Community Options' programs.
