Assemblyman Bucco visits business that teaches skills to people with disabilities

On Friday, Assemblyman Anthony M. Bucco visited The Daily Plan It, which teaches job skills to people with disabilities.

Bucco toured the facility, located on Speedwell Avenue in Morristown. The Daily Plan it was created in 1999 and has provided small offices with conference space to local businesses, while offering training on receptionist work, maintenance duties, filing, copying, labeling, mailing and more.

In 2008, Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen visited the facility. So did Gov. Chris Christie’s wife, Pat, in 2011.

“Throughout my career, I have been a strong supporter of people with disabilities,” Bucco said. “That is why today was a great opportunity for me to tour and learn about The Daily Plan-It run by Community Options, Inc. They provide valuable services to the business community, while training and employing people with disabilities in an integrated community setting.

“All the while empowering these men and women with disabilities to benefit from and contribute to society. I think this is a wonderful win-win situation for all the individuals and businesses that are involved.”

The Daily Plan It was created by Community Options Enterprises, Inc., a nonprofit organization “that was created by Community Options, Inc. to develop and operate entrepreneurial businesses that train and employ people with disabilities,” according to its website.
