Over 200 people take part in a 5K held in Glen Rock on Feb. 10 to raise funds for Community Options, which provides homes for people with disabilities.

Princeton-based Community Options Inc., a home and employment provider for people with developmental disabilities, hosted its 16th Cupid’s Chase 5K on Feb.10.

Over 200 people took part in the race in Glen Rock and contributed to the nationwide total of 10,000 participants in 46 events held simultaneously, the company said Wednesday.

“We are thrilled by the incredible turnout and enthusiasm displayed in our 16th annual Cupid’s Chase 5K Race,” said race director Barbara Frimpong. “We extend our gratitude to everyone who participated, sponsored and volunteered to make this year’s Cupid’s Chase a tremendous success.”

Nationally, $620,000 was raised, $12,000 of it from Glen Rock, said Amber Wiseburn, a marketing director with Community Options. The money will go to housing and employment programs for its clients, the company announced.

Community Options was founded 30 years ago and serves thousands of people at more than 50 offices across 12 states.
