A decade ago, Community Options began its mission in Charleston, South Carolina not just to provide services for individuals with disabilities, but to redefine inclusion. This spring, the organization celebrated its 10th anniversary with staff, supporters and Congresswoman Nancy Mace, who praised its lasting impact.

“We are incredibly proud to mark 10 years of support in Charleston,” said Robert Stack, President and CEO. “This anniversary is not just a reflection of our work, but of the incredible support we’ve received from the community, our dedicated staff and our remarkable supporters.”

That support has been essential. For years, people with disabilities have faced systemic barriers to employment, independent living and full inclusion. Community Options is changing that. The Charleston team has set a strong example by empowering residents with disabilities to live independently and find meaningful employment.

Congresswoman Nancy Mace praised the organization’s efforts, recognizing its impact. “We are so proud of the work you are doing for our community and those with disabilities,” said Congresswoman Mace, whose district includes Charleston. “We are praying that you all continue this good work and for another 10 years of success.”

Anniversaries aren’t just about looking back, they’re about looking ahead. Community Options is excited for the next decade in Charleston, where the focus remains clear: to continue expanding opportunities, advocating for disability rights and creating a future where every individual has the chance to succeed.
