Community Options Appoints Derek Shive as Regional Director in Pennsylvania

Community Options, a leading national nonprofit supporting people with disabilities, is proud to announce the appointment of Derek Shive as the new Regional Director of Central Pennsylvania, a move that aligns with the organization’s recent achievement for being named a Select tier provider.
With over a decade of experience, Derek Shive brings a wealth of leadership and innovation to the Central Region. In his new role, Derek will oversee operations and development of services for people with disabilities. Community Options supports 7,000 people across the country, including 450 in Pennsylvania.

His recent work in York and Lancaster counties has already demonstrated his capacity to lead with integrity and precision.
The timing of this appointment coincides with Community Options’ recognition as a Select Tier provider under Pennsylvania’s new Performance-based Contracting. This recognition is a testament to Community Options’ high standards in service delivery, regulatory compliance, and community engagement.
