MANHATTAN, NY– Community Options, a leading national nonprofit supporting people with disabilities, announced the appointment of Fatimat Adekoya as State Director of New York. In this role, Fatimat will oversee development and operations within the state.

Community Options develops innovative housing and employment support for over 6,700 people with disabilities and families across 12 states. In New York, Community Options supports over 1,400 people through contracts with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and Adult Career and Continuing Education Services (ACCES-VR).

Fatimat holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration form Stony Brook University and a Master of Social Work from Fordham University. With over 17 years of experience advocating for individuals with disabilities, she began her career as a Direct Support Professional and has been with Community Options for four years.
