Community Options Appoints Laura Winchester to Executive Director for Southern New Jersey

WOODBURY, NJ – Community Options, Inc., a leading national nonprofit supporting people with disabilities, has appointed Laura Winchester as Executive Director in Southern New Jersey.
Community Options’ mission is to develop housing and employment supports for people with disabilities. The nonprofit supports over 5,000 people with disabilities across 11 states, including over 1,000 New Jersey residents and their families.
“I’m pleased to welcome Laura as our new Executive Director,” said Diane D’Orazio, Community Options’ State Director for Southern New Jersey. “I’m confident that her leadership skills as well as her deep commitment to ensuring quality care for people with disabilities will benefit our services Southern New Jersey.”
In her new role, Laura will manage community-based residential services for adults and children with developmental disabilities that live in Atlantic, Camden, Cumberland, and Gloucester Counties.
“I’m excited to join the Community Options family here in South Jersey,” said Laura. “I have always had a passion to help people and there is not a single job more important for me than to be an advocate for people with disabilities.”
Laura brings over 25 years of experience in managing person-centered programs supporting people with disabilities. She was most recently Program Director at a provider agency based in Pennsylvania. Laura received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from LaSalle University.
