Community Options Appoints Marie-Noelle Akegnan as Executive Director of Rockville, Maryland

Rockville, MD — Community Options, a leading national nonprofit supporting people with disabilities, is pleased to announce the appointment of Marie-Noelle Akegnan as Executive Director of Rockville, Maryland.
Community Options develops innovative housing and employment support for over 7,000 people with disabilities and families across 12 states. In Maryland, over 300 individuals and their families are supported across the state.
“Marie-Noelle understands that quality services begin with respect, accountability and person-centered care,” said Robert Stack, President and CEO of Community Options. “Her leadership will help ensure people with disabilities in Rockville have the supports they need to live meaningful lives in the community.”
Marie-Noelle brings more than 17 years of experience, having overseen multi-site residential and in-home services, focused on Medicaid oversight, compliance and staff development. In her new role, she will oversee Community Options’ residential and employment services in Rockville and surrounding areas, advancing the organization’s mission of community inclusion.
“I am honored to join Community Options and serve as Executive Director in Rockville,” said Marie-Noelle. “I look forward to supporting our teams, strengthening partnerships and expanding opportunities for people with disabilities to thrive through safe housing, meaningful employment and community-based supports.”
Marie-Noelle holds a Master of Science in Human Services Management, with a specialization in Special Education, from McDaniel College and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Honors) from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
