Community Options Appoints Scott Bowman as State Director
Ogden, UT (February 18, 2021) – Community Options, Inc. has named Scott Bowman as State Director in Utah.
In his new role, Bowman will manage a 50-person team and oversee all operations in Utah including residential, employment, supported living and day habilitation supports.
“Scott’s decorated history of successfully managing residential services will be a huge asset to our programs in Utah” said Greg Thoennes, Regional Vice President of Community Options. “His proven understanding of state and federal licensing will put us in a position enhance our operations which will directly benefit the people we support.”
Community Options supports 70 people with disabilities and manages 7 community-based homes in the State of Utah. Nationally, Community Options supports over 4,000 people across ten states.
“The mission of Community Options is incredibly special to me and I am thrilled to be able to do my part to further it here in Utah,” said Bowman. “Everyone should have the opportunity to live in an inclusive environment and find employment if they are able and willing. I will do my part to make that a reality in Utah.”
Bowman comes to Community Options with over 16 years of experience in managing services to support people with disabilities. Throughout his career, he has developed a track record of enhancing the quality of services and implementing new revenue streams and business expansions. Bowman received his bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science from Utah Valley University and is currently finishing up his MBA from the University of Utah.
