Council Bluffs, IA — Community Options, a leading national nonprofit supporting people with disabilities, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tyna Anderson as the Iowa State Director.

Community Options develops innovative housing and employment support for over 7,000 people with disabilities and families across 12 states. As Iowa State Director, Tyna will oversee residential and employment supports for 30 people in the Council Bluffs region

“Tyna’s proven leadership and her ability to ensure quality services make her an excellent choice to act as our Iowa State Director,” said Robert Stack, President and CEO of Community Options. “Her dedication to person-centered supports will bring positive impacts to our team and the people we support.”

Tyna brings over two decades of experience working with adults with disabilities. Most recently, she directed training initiatives, managed administrative teams and ensured company-wide compliance for a disability service provider. Tyna aims to bring her skills in employment support and quality assurance to advance the mission of Community Options throughout the state of Iowa.

“I am honored to join Community Options as Iowa State Director,” said Tyna Anderson. “As I step into this role, I look forward to using my commitment to high-quality support and services to further our initiatives.”

Tyna holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Buena Vista University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Criminology with a certificate in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa.
