Community Options Celebrates Ribbon Cutting of the Philip E. Lian and Joan L. Mueller Daily Plan It in Newtown, PA

Newtown, Pa. — October 23, 2023 — Community Options, Inc. held a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony for the Philip E. Lian and Joan L. Mueller Daily Plan It, located at 17 Blacksmith Road in Newtown, Pennsylvania.

The facility was named in recognition of a $1 million gift from Philip E. Lian and Joan L. Mueller to support the development of programs designed to help individuals with disabilities secure housing and employment opportunities.

The event featured remarks from Community Options leadership, including President and CEO Robert Stack, as well as elected officials, including Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-1) and State Representative Perry Warren (31st District). Members of Congressman Fitzpatrick’s team were also in attendance and presented a U.S. flag that had been flown over the United States Capitol.

The Daily Plan It is an entrepreneurial business that provides job training and competitive, integrated employment opportunities for people with disabilities. The program also offers fully furnished office space and virtual tenancy services to the local business community.

Community Options recognized the generosity of Philip E. Lian and Joan L. Mueller and their contribution to expanding employment opportunities and community integration for individuals with disabilities.
