New York, NY – Community Options, a leading national nonprofit supporting people with disabilities, announced the appointment Daniel Lavelle as Executive Director of Manhattan. In his new role, Daniel will oversee development and operations for Community Options throughout Manhattan.

“I am thrilled to welcome Daniel Lavelle as the Executive Director of Manhattan,” said Robert Stack, President and CEO of Community Options. “His passion for empowering persons with disabilities, combined with his leadership experience, will drive impactful change and strengthen our community partnerships in Manhattan.”

Community Options develops innovative housing and employment support for over 6,000 people with disabilities and families across 12 states. In New York, Community Options supports over 1400 people through contracts with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and Adult Career and Continuing Education Services (ACCES-VR).

“I am honored to join Community Options as the Executive Director of Manhattan,” said Daniel Lavelle. “I am excited to work alongside such a dedicated team to support individuals with disabilities and help them achieve greater independence.

Daniel brings over 11 years of experience in developing individualized programs and optimizing operations. Previously, he served as Director of Residential Services for a nonprofit in Westchester County. Daniel received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Bloomsburg University and his Master’s in Education with a focus in Educational Leadership and Administration from Grand Canyon University.
