Community Options Enterprises Appoints Three New Board Members
PRINCETON, NJ – (March 18, 2015) At the quarterly board meeting in March, nonprofit Community Options Enterprises elected Alec Taylor, Daniel Surtz and Richard De Angelis to serve as board members.
Mr. Alec Taylor is the Partner-in-Charge of Industrial sales and leasing for Matrix Development Group. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing the marketing and leasing of Matrix’s industrial portfolio. Since joining Matrix in 1986, Mr. Taylor has grown from the position of Property Manager in charge of the day-to-day management of all of Matrix’s properties to Project Executive, then to Vice President of the firm. In 1993, he became a Principal of Matrix. Throughout his career, he has successfully executed build-to-suit and speculative leasing and construction programs for more than 15 million square feet of transactions. Mr. Taylor worked with leading firms such as Sony, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz and Amazon.
Mr. Daniel Surtz is the owner of Fusion Employer Services, LLC, headquartered in Lawrenceville, NJ. Fusion is a Professional Employer Organization that provides human resources, payroll, tax filing, workers’ compensation and a Fortune 500 benefit package for small to mid-size businesses. Prior to forming Fusion, Mr. Surtz practiced corporate litigation in New Jersey and New York.
Mr. Richard De Angelis is an attorney with the law firm of McKirdy & Riskin, P.A. in Morristown, NJ. He specializes in eminent domain and condemnation, redevelopment and real estate tax appeals. He is a frequent lecturer and writer in these areas of the law. Mr. De Angelis is a graduate of Rutgers University and Seton Hall University School of Law. He has also worked in the public sector for the late Congressman Dean Gallo, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office and was Special Counsel to Acting Governor Donald Di Francesco.
The new members join the existing board of Robert Stack, President and CEO of Community Options, Audrey Chen, Courtney Eidel, Dr. Baber Ghauri, C. Herb Schneider and Paul Hritz.
Community Options Enterprises, Inc. (COE) was established to develop and operate entrepreneurial businesses that successfully integrate people with disabilities into the workforce.
