Dr. Gonzalo Perez, Associate Provost at Mercer County Community College (MCCC), met with Community Options Regional Director for Central New Jersey, Ida Bormentar, to discuss a new partnership with the college’s Developing Real Expectations for Achieving Mastery (DREAM) Program.

The MCCC DREAM Program is a transition and postsecondary program for students, ages 18 through 24, with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who require additional supports in a college setting. The program emphasizes academic skill development, career preparation, independent living skills, and participation in inclusive college courses and activities.

Community Options and Mercer County Community College are exploring ways to empower individuals with IDD by providing job placement, career training, and supported employment through meaningful work experiences.
