Community Options meets with Tennessee State representatives

Tennessee State Representatives Aftyn Behn of District 51 and Yusuf Hakeem of District 28 met with representatives from the offices of Community Options in Tennessee. Among the attendees were Nashville Executive Director Antonio Ferguson, Greater Knoxville Associate Executive Director Marie Roush and Chattanooga Office Executive Director Mercedes Owens.

Topics of discussion focused on ways to increase wages for direct support professionals and strengthen support for Community Options and its programs.

The meaningful conversations with Tennessee state representatives helped to advocate for the workforce and individuals supported by Community Options programs and increase disability awareness across Tennessee.
