PRINCETON, NJ – Community Options, a leading national nonprofit supporting people with disabilities, is proud to announce the promotion of Yongxin Zhou to the role of Director of Development. In her new role, Yongxin will oversee the strategic direction and execution of Community Options’ fundraising, donor relations, and special events.

“Yongxin’s leadership has been instrumental in elevating our events and building community connections,” said Robert Stack, President and CEO of Community Options. “Her vision and dedication have not only expanded the reach of Cupid’s Chase but also brought greater awareness to our mission. I am thrilled to see her step into this role and lead our development efforts.”

Since joining Community Options, Yongxin has made a significant impact on the organization’s visibility and engagement. Under her leadership the organization’s signature event, Cupid’s Chase 5K, has grown from fewer than 5,000 runners to over 10,000 participants annually. Her innovative marketing strategies and collaborative approach have strengthened Community Options’ mission of empowering people with disabilities.

“I am honored to take on the role of Director of Development,” said Yongxin Zhou. “Community Options has been a platform for transformative change, and I am excited to further strengthen our fundraising efforts and expand initiatives like Cupid’s Chase 5K to bring greater visibility to the incredible potential of people with disabilities. Together, we can build an even more inclusive and supportive community.”

Yongxin joined Community Options in February 2022 as a Human Resources Assistant and was quickly promoted to Director of Special Events in July 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Management and a Social Media Marketing Certificate from Cornell.
