Community Options To Host National 5K To Support People With Disabilities
PRINCETON, NJ – On February 8, 2014, Community Options will host their sixth annual Cupid’s Chase 5K run in 24 locations across eight states. All the proceeds from the run will go towards supporting people with disabilities.
The Cupid’s Chase 5K Run is the largest, national, simultaneous charity 5K run in the country held by any nonprofit organization. Participants will receive an “Available” or “Unavailable” shirt to wear for the race in hopes of sparking a love connection.
The run takes place every year right before Valentine’s Day. This is one of the first races of the running season around the country and Community Options is expecting 10,000 runners nationwide for this year’s event.
It is a very unique weekend for Community Options. The company will be celebrating its 25th anniversary the day after Cupid’s Chase, February 9.
“We are in awe at how rapidly this event has grown nationwide. I am extremely proud to have this as our organization’s most important event,” said Robert Stack, Founder, President and CEO of Community Options. “This event is even more special to us as we enter our 25th year of service. We hope that participants recognize the impact they are making in improving the lives of people we support by simply registering for the event.”
Cupid’s Chase 5K Run will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 10 a.m. local time. For more information or to register for the event and to find the closest run near you, you can visit www.comop.org/cupidschase/. To join Cupid’s Chase on Facebook, you can visit, www.facebook.com/cupidschase
