Community Options Welcomes Cristine Chickadel as Associate Executive Director for Cape May and Atlantic Counties, NJ

Cape May, NJ — Community Options, Inc., a leading national nonprofit organization supporting people with disabilities, announced the appointment of Cristine Chickadel as Associate Executive Director for Cape May and Atlantic Counties, New Jersey.
Community Options supports over 6,700 individuals across 12 states, including more than 1,200 people in New Jersey through housing, employment, and day services. In her new role, Cristine will lead local operations, strengthen partnerships, and expand services for individuals with disabilities in Cape May and Atlantic Counties.
“Cristine’s policy expertise and passion for inclusive community building make her an invaluable addition to our team,” said Robert Stack, President and CEO of Community Options. “I am confident she will lead our continued growth as we expand our footprint in South Jersey.”
Cristine brings over a decade of leadership experience in disability advocacy, program development, and government service. Most recently, she served as the NJ ABLE Director and Program Specialist for the New Jersey Department of Human Services, where she led a statewide financial savings program supporting thousands of individuals with disabilities.
Prior to that, Cristine was the Office of Disability Director and ADA Coordinator for Atlantic County, overseeing accessibility initiatives, independent living supports, and employment services. She successfully implemented a countywide ADA Transition Plan, led key collaborations, and secured grant funding to expand inclusive services.

Cristine holds a Master’s degree in Disability Studies from the CUNY School of Professional Studies, with additional certifications in Work Incentives Planning and ADA Coordination. She is known for her dedication to advancing equity, access, and opportunity for people of all abilities.
