Cupid’s Chase 5k Celebrates Record-Breaking Year with Over 17,000 Runners

February 16, 2026

PRINCETON, NJ – Community Options proudly announces the overwhelming success of the Cupid’s Chase 5k, held in 49 cities nationwide to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities.

This year’s Cupid’s Chase 5k drew more than 17,000 runners, surpassing last year’s total of 11,000 participants and setting a new record for the beloved annual race. Proceeds from Cupid’s Chase benefit Community Options and its mission to develop housing and employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Community Options supports 7,000 people with disabilities and families through innovative housing, employment and day services. The national nonprofit operates over 700 community homes for people with disabilities across twelve states.

“We are incredibly proud to see Cupid’s Chase continue to grow year after year,” said Robert Stack, President and CEO of Community Options. “Surpassing 17,000 runners is an extraordinary milestone for our organization. The excitement we witnessed across the country reflects a powerful movement of people who believe in inclusion and opportunity.”

Cupid’s Chase 5k brings together runners, walkers, families and supporters from across the country in celebration of inclusion and community. Participants showed up energized and enthusiastic, embracing the festive atmosphere and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

A signature tradition of Cupid’s Chase adds a fun and interactive element to the event: participants wear race shirts that signal their relationship status. White shirts mean “available,” while red shirts mean “unavailable.” This lighthearted feature has become a favorite among runners, encouraging camaraderie and connection while reinforcing the inclusive and celebratory spirit of the event.
