A national nonprofit organization has announced that a recent fundraising event was a success.

Community Options hosted the seventh annual Cupid’s Chase 5K at Lake Arthur Golf Club last Saturday morning.

Organizers say 100 runners from children to seniors participated in the local activity, with awards given to a variety of age groups.

Proceeds from this and 45 other races across the country benefit Community Options, which is an organization helping those with disabilities in areas such as employment and housing support.
