Haldeman Subaru of Hamilton Donates $16,000 To Support People With Disabilities
PRINCETON, NJ – (March 11, 2015) On Wednesday, Haldeman Subaru of Hamilton, NJ presented Community Options with a check for $16,000.
Since its founding in 1989, Community Options has purchased vehicles from Haldeman Subaru in order to transport the people they support. This past fall, a big nationwide
“In the fall, all Subaru dealerships planned to donate a percentage of sales to local charities. We were all pushing for Community Options,” said Jon Gross, Sales Manager of Haldeman Subaru in Hamilton.
“They’ve been supporting us for so long; we wanted to support them as well.”
Community Options is a national nonprofit based in Princeton, NJ that provides employment and housing support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“Community Options has had the pleasure of working with Haldeman Subaru of Hamilton for a long time,” said Community Options Executive Director of Mercer County, Teresa Snyder. “We are very appreciative of their donation and look forward to continuing our relationship well into the future.”
Gross presented the check to Spencer Bacher.
Bacher is one of the thousands of individuals supported by Community Options. Born in New York City, he currently lives in East Windsor, NJ. The 20-year-old joined the Community Options family on October 6, 2014 and is doing very well. He is currently enrolled in high school at Eden Services. Spencer has two siblings. His sister Alli is a senior in high school and his brother Jake currently attends college. Spencer enjoys many activities in his free time such as, listening to music, walking in the neighborhood, bowling and most of all, his gym membership at the YMCA.
