LAS CRUCES – Tuesday is the holiday of love, and Las Cruces-area businesses, restaurants and organizations are offering ways to celebrate with your special someone.
Free weddings in Las Cruces
Morning Star United Methodist Church is offering free weddings on the Plaza de Las Cruces for the second year Tuesday. Drop by with your partner and exchange vows anytime between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. at 100 N. Main St. Photos, cupcakes and a toast will all be provided by the church.
Valentine’s Day pop-up markets
Rare Tea, located at 4660 Sonoma Ranch Blvd., Suite 160, is hosting a pop-up shop at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10. Attendees can grab a boba tea drink and find vendors offering flowers, jewelry and sweet treats.
Livingston Bridal and Dry Point Distiller, located at 1680 Calle de Alvarez, are also hosting a weekend pop-up market for Valentine’s Day. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11.
Dinner reservations for you and a loved one
Many Doña Ana County restaurants are offering a special Valentine’s Day meal this month. Luna Rossa Winery & Pizzeria is offering a Valentine’s Winemaker dinner Feb. 14
Head south to Sunland Park to enjoy a four-course meal at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing, located at 1 Ardovinos Dr., Sunland Park. El Paso’s Johnny Louis will provide entertainment from 6 to 9 p.m.
Las Cruces Dock Diving Lovers Splash Indoors 2023
Show some love to your favorite canine by taking them to a dock diving competition. Registered competitors will be judged on their distance jumps, air retrieves and hydro dashes Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Joing the 15th annual Cupid’s Chase
Runners, joggers, walkers and sponsors are all welcome to join the 15th annual Cupid’s Chase race Saturday Feb. 11 at the Mesilla Plaza. This annual race is part of a national series with the goal of raising funds and awareness for people with disabilities and to support them with housing and employment.
All are welcome – the race is fully accessible, including pets. The certified 5K will begin at 9 a.m. Check-in begins at 7 a.m. Participants will receive a finisher medal, swag bag and a Cupid’s Chase shirt while supplies last. Trophy awards will be given to the top three finishers and medals will be handed out to first place of each age group.
