Race benefits Community Options

LIVERPOOL (WSYR-TV)

About 100 runners and walkers spent the warm morning at Onondaga Lake Park, taking part in the Cupid’s Chase 5K.

Storm Team Meteorologist Kate Thornton kicked off Saturday’s event. She says she was excited to emcee, having run the race herself in past years in Binghamton.

The event benefits Community Options, a nationwide program that provides opportunities for those with disabilities to be involved and do good in the community.

The race was supposed to be held last weekend, but was postponed because of cold weather
