MORRISTOWN, NJ – This Valentine’s Day why not show your love of health and charity by running in the 2017 Cupid’s Chase 5K Run. All proceeds raised go towards making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
Runners, walkers, and rollers in wheelchairs and baby strollers are invited to help raise funds and awareness for their mission of dignity and choice for those with disabilities. The very first Cupid’s Chase 5K took place in 2009, with more than 600 participants in Princeton, and was so successful that Community Options decided to make it a national event. In addition to Morristown, this year’s Cupid’s Chase will take place in Glen Rock, Morrestown, New Brunswick, Princeton, Seaside Heights, and Sewell.
The Morristown race takes place Saturday February 11 at 10am and will begin at the Daily Plan-it, 15–152 Speedwell Avenue.
“This is Cupid’s Chase 4th year in Morristown,” said race director Tracy Mendola. “The race occurs simultaneously in 32 cities across 9 states. All proceeds to go improve the lives of local individuals with disabilities. Each runner gets a red shirt that says “Available” or a white shirt that says “Unavailable” in hopes to spark a love connection, or just have a good time!! Costumes are welcome and we invite everyone to join!”
