Lace up those sneakers and bring the whole crew — Cupid’s Chase 5K is a feel-good way to spend a February morning together. Held each year around Valentine’s Day, this nationwide race series is organized by Community Options, Inc. to celebrate connection, movement, and community. The Nashville event takes place on a certified 3.1-mile course at Shelby Bottoms (1900 Davidson Street), and it’s designed with everyone in mind: walkers and runners are equally welcome, strollers roll easily along the route, wheelchairs are fully accommodated, and even leashed pets can join the fun.

This year’s race happens on Saturday, Feb. 14, with check-in beginning at 7 a.m. and the starting horn sounding at 8 a.m. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just enjoying a brisk walk with your kids, it’s an easygoing, joyful way to start the day.
Why Cupid’s Chase 5K Matters

Cupid’s Chase is about more than miles — it’s about making a difference. Proceeds from the race support Community Options, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to expanding housing, employment, and community-living opportunities for people with disabilities. Every step taken helps strengthen inclusion and independence, both locally and across the country.
Who Can Participate

Truly everyone. Families, seasoned runners, first-time walkers, teens and grandparents. Participants receive a race shirt (as long as supplies last), a finisher medal, and drawstring bag (while supplies last). Awards are given to top finishers as well as across age groups, from 12 and younger through 70 and over.

Last year alone, more than 11,000 runners nationwide took part in Cupid’s Chase 5K. Registration is $45, and the race is held rain or shine. If you’re looking for a Valentine’s weekend activity that gets hearts pumping — for all the right reasons — you can sign up at runsignup.com.
