New Jersey Business Leader Appointed to Community Options Enterprises Board

PRINCETON, NJ – Community Options Enterprises is pleased to announce the appointment of Adolfo S. Alvarado to the Board of Directors.
Community Options Enterprises is a nonprofit organization based in Princeton. Community Options operates innovative entrepreneurial businesses to provide integrated employment for people with disabilities.
“Our Board of Directors is comprised of a dedicated team of civic and business leaders. Adolfo is an example of both and is a welcome addition,” said Robert Stack, President and CEO of Community Options. “Beyond his tremendous business acumen, he has shown a commitment improving the lives of people with disabilities.”
Alvarado is the Senior Finance Manager-Plant Controller for Stryker Corporation, a multinational medical technologies company. Throughout his twelve-year career with Stryker, Alvarado has overseen finance and accounting activities for some of the largest manufacturing plants for medical technologies in the world.
“I have seen Community Options’ impressive growth and their impact on the lives of people with disabilities for many years,” said Alvarado. “I look forward to taking on an active role as a board member and use my experience as a financial professional to help further advance their mission.”
Community Options Enterprises is an affiliate of Community Options, Inc. The national nonprofit provides housing and employment to over 4,000 people with disabilities across ten states. Community Options Enterprises currently operates eight entrepreneurial businesses in New Jersey.
Alvarado received a Bachelor of Science in accounting and Business Administration from Montclair State University. A New Jersey native, Alvarado currently resides in Wayne, NJ with his wife and three children.
