Princeton Nonprofit to hold 2nd Annual Cupid’s Chase 5k Run in 9 States
Community Options will hold its very successful 5k Run, Cupid’s Chase. This time, nationally.
(Princeton, New Jersey October 12, 2009): On February 13, 2010, Community Options, a national nonprofit organization that develops homes and employment supports for people with developmental disabilities will hold its widely attended Cupid’s Chase 5k Run. This year, the organization will hold its 5k throughout 9 states and 24 locations at the same time, on the same day.
The 5k will also focus on the social aspects of the event and the holiday. Participants will be encouraged to meet, talk, run or walk together, participate in raffles for romantic weekends or Valentine’s Day flowers, and genuinely enjoy the spirit of Valentine’s Day all while supporting a very good cause.
The Cupid’s Chase 5k has been branded by Community Options as a national fundraiser and will be held in major cities across the country including, Manhattan, Binghamton, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Chattanooga, Cookeville, Columbia, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Dallas, Hartford, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Las Cruces and Bowling Green. Last year, the organization held the Cupid’s Chase at Princeton University and had over 600 participants. “This year, we anticipate having over 1,000 participants at the new location at the Princeton Shopping Center and over 150 participants in each city throughout the country,” says, Robert Stack, President and CEO of Community Options. The Cupid’s Chase 5k will offer massages prior to and after the 5k by local massage therapists and chiropractors, music, prizes and various other romantically themed giveaways to celebrate the day.
