Runners, take your mark, get set, and go as the Cupid’s Chase 5k put on by Community Options Incorporation is returning to Broome County this Saturday, February 8, 2025 for the 17th year.

The annual 5k at Otsiningo Park supports Community Options housing, employment, and day services for individuals with disabilities. In the past, the 5K has raised close to $18,000, and this year it would like to raise $20,000.

Cupid’s Chase 5k takes place in 48 different cities across 13 states, and last year Broome County had 200 runners and is expecting 250 this year.

“It’s been amazing to see the growth and the amount of runners and participants and the volunteers,” Executive Director for Community Option Ashley Gamba said. “We have an incredible amount of volunteers from within our agency as well as across the community.”

Saturday’s race begins at 10 a.m. at Otsiningo Park.
