New Jersey State Senator Troy Singleton brought a group of about 20 volunteers to help paint one of our homes in Mount Laurel this past weekend. “This type of initiative truly makes a difference in the lives of the individuals we serve.”, Gina Barbieri Community Options, Inc. Burlington.

July marks the 33rd anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and with it, the 33rd annual Disability Pride Month. In recognition of that, we partnered with our friends at Community Options for today’s “Serve with Senator Singleton” event.

Community Options is a national non-profit organization, providing housing and employment support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Thank you to all of the volunteers, including the sisters of Theta Phi Sigma, who helped us paint two of their condos today. It was a great way to empower and show our appreciation for those with disabilities living independently in our communities.
