Become a Family Host Provider
This is a chance to help make a difference by opening your home to an individual with a developmental disability.
A Family Host Provider offers a community-based living alternative where individuals or families open their homes to people with developmental disabilities that have qualified for services. Teaching, assisting in personal and professional growth, and providing opportunities for recreation are additional responsibilities of becoming a family host provider. Pay is based upon the supported person’s level of need. Training will be provided by Community Options.
A Family Host is more than just another housing option. The home’s primary caregiver provides training, assistance, and supervision. Support can range from community integration to daily living skills, such as personal hygiene or food preparation, to instruction on social skills and problem-solving.
Benefits of Being a Family Host Provider:
- All room and board expenses are paid to the Family Host Provider.
- All expenses for the services provided around the clock.
- Daily reimbursement rates.
- Direct deposit and electronic documentation for convenience.
