Become a Host Home Provider
This is a chance to help make a difference by opening your home to an individual with a developmental disability.
A Host Home Provider offers a community-based living alternative where individuals or families open their homes to people with developmental disabilities that have qualified for services. Teaching, assisting in personal and professional growth, and providing opportunities for recreation are additional responsibilities of becoming a home provider. Pay is based upon the supported person’s level of need. Training will be provided by Community Options.
A Host Home is more than just another housing option. The home’s primary caregiver provides training, assistance, and supervision. Support can range from community integration to daily living skills, such as personal hygiene or food preparation, to instruction on social skills and problem-solving.
Benefits of Being a Host Home Provider:
- All room and board expenses are paid to the Host Home Provider.
- All expenses for the services provided around the clock.
- Daily reimbursement rates.
- Direct deposit and electronic documentation for convenience.
