The Somerset County Library System of New Jersey will host a job and volunteer fair for adults and teens (ages 16 and up) with special needs on April 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Bridgewater Library branch, located at 1 Vogt Drive in Bridgewater.
“SCLSNJ is in a unique position – we work every day to partner with local businesses, and build connections with the community of people with special needs,” said Zoe Lopez, adult services supervisor. “We recognize that Somerset County residents with disabilities have the potential to be a committed and productive part of the workforce, and we’re thrilled to bring them together with local employers.”
Attendees will include:
AMC Theaters Bridgewater
The ARC of Somerset County
Community Options, Inc.
Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services
United Way of Northern New Jersey
Somerset County teens and adults with special needs will have the opportunity to apply and/or interview for volunteer and job positions in the Somerset County area.
“We want to convey to this – and every – population that the Library is a fantastic resource they can depend upon as they search for work and volunteer opportunities,” said Cathy DeBerry, adult services librarian.
