Hi, Kelly with Remax Pinnacle. I’m here at Community Options. Um, we’re going to learn a little bit about Community Options, what they all do for um everybody here, and also then talk about the Cupid’s Chase Run, um, which is February the 14th.

Steven Rose (Executive Director Community Options-Lancaster)

My name is Steven Rose. I’m executive director here at Community Options. Um, we provide um employment support and residential support for individuals with IDD. Um, we’re in 12 states. We have close to 20 homes in Lancaster and York County. And I’m excited to do my first Cupid’s Chase.

Kelsey Munoz (Executive Director Community Options-York)

Cupid’s Chase is an annual 5K that we’ve done for um probably 15, 20 years now. The funds raised by Cupid’s Chase help support our individuals that we support in the community. Um, Community Options’ mission is to support individuals with uh intellectual and developmental disabilities, uh, to live more independently in the community and integrate with their community so that they’re not stuck in an institution like they had been in years past. So, Cupid’s Chase goes towards supporting them throughout the year with things that they may not afford, but they need to live a fulfilled life.

So, you can go to our website. Um, if you just Google Cupid’s Chase York, Pennsylvania, it’ll pop right up. Uh, there’s a volunteering link on there. You’re also welcome to call the office of Community Options and someone will contact you to help you get signed up. Uh, we’re located in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania, so you’re more than welcome to just give us a little bit of a Google as well and give us a call.

Um, if you want to sign up to run, you can also do that on the Cupid’s Chase website. You get a t-shirt when you register. You get a medal. You get this nice little bag. You get to visit with us for the day and meet some of our individuals, uh, have fun just taking the run, taking the walk. You can roll it. Um, you can do anything you need to as far as to complete the race. Um, but if anyone wants to sign up to volunteer, we’re more than happy to accept as many volunteers as possible.
