EWING — This Thursday and Friday, January 29 and 30, staff from the West Windsor Home Depot store arrived at 10 a.m. to renovate a Community Options group home in Ewing. Team Depot, the name of Home Depot’s associate-led volunteer program, repaired, prepped and painted several rooms inside the home, replaced several doorknobs, in addition to the enhancement of some furniture already built into the house.

The home on River Road is a two-story house with two garages, a pair of bathrooms and three bedrooms. Team Depot West Windsor has graciously donated $550 worth of supplies to revamp the home, along with volunteers Pam Trombley, Cheryl Kemmerer, Jane McFadden, Clorissa Torres and Keith Ondrick. Behr Paint also provided donations with the help of volunteers Jesse Silodor, Bebe Samsair & Mark Helwig.

“The West Windsor Home Depot and Community Options share values of building a healthier community,” said West Windsor Home Depot Operations Manager Richard Chatman. “After having a few conversations with Deborah Napoleon of Community Options about what was needed at the River Road location, we at Team Depot realized that we could help make a positive impact within our community.”
